Miss Shirley’s Place (MSP), A Spay/Neuter Humane Society, is passionate about animal welfare. Realizing that the overpopulation of animals was created by not spaying and neutering animals, MSP pays for spay/neuter surgeries for low-income pet guardians who cannot afford to pay for it themselves. This is a target spay/neuter program in Georgia for low-income families in Fayette, Clayton, Spalding, and *surrounding counties, that need assistance "fixing" their dogs and cats. All three counties have been a starting point since they have s a very high number of dogs euthanized/killed due to overpopulation of strays, abandonments, and owner surrenders.
MSP continues to partner with Animal Control Departments and County Shelters to determine areas most over-populated with dogs and cats. To be proactive and preventative, MSP created a door-to-door campaign/movement to stop the issue at the source.
Please join us in this movement by donating, volunteering or sharing this mission.

Only 1 out of 10 dogs and 1 out of 12 cats born ever finds a permanent home.
800 cats and dogs are euthanized every hour in the United States because there aren’t enough homes.
